Knowledge and research agenda for Physical Forensic Investigation
Physical forensic investigation focuses on the physical processes that underlie the creation, transfer, distribution and persistence of traces in or on tangible material.
This type of trace is created by an interaction in which material permanently changes shape or structure or in which material is transferred from the source to another place. The traces themselves can be used to reconstruct the underlying physical processes.
